Crochet Bath Mitt Scrubber (Eldiven Lif)

1. 1Foundation chainWith A, ch 30. Make sure the chain doesn't twist; the bottom of the mitt is closed by working along both sides of this chain, so no bottom seam is needed.
2. 2Round 1 (both sides of the chain)1 sc in the 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of the next 27 ch, 3 sc in the last ch. Without turning, continue along the underside of the chain: 1 sc in each of the next 27 ch, 2 sc in the chain where you made the first sc. Join with a sl st to the first sc (60 sc). Each side of the mitt now has 30 stitches; place the marker at the start of the round.
3. 3Textured roundsRound 2: Ch 1 (does not count), *1 sc, 1 dc* 30 times, sl st to the first sc (60 sts). Round 3: Ch 2 (does not count), *1 dc, 1 sc* 30 times, sl st to the first dc (60 sts). This way a dc always sits on top of an sc and an sc on top of a dc, giving the surface a rough, exfoliating texture.
4. 4BodyRounds 4-24: Work even rounds like round 2 and odd rounds like round 3 (60 sts). After round 24 the mitt should measure about 18 cm. Try it on: there should be 1-2 cm of space between your fingertips and the bottom; add or remove two rounds if needed. On the last stitch of the final round, make the last yarn over with B.
5. 5CuffRounds 25-28: With B, ch 1 (does not count), 1 sc in each st, sl st to the first sc (60 sc). Being single crochet, the cuff is a little firmer than the textured section and keeps the mitt from slipping off your wrist. Cut A at the start of round 25, leaving 15 cm.
6. 6Hanging loopAt the end of round 28, at a point level with the side edge of the mitt, ch 15 and sl st into the same stitch. Work 20 sc into the loop and finish with a sl st; make it sturdy, as it will carry the weight of a wet mitt.
7. 7FinishingFasten off. Weave the ends on the inside into stitches of their own colour, in two different directions. Turn the mitt inside out to check the join line and corners, then turn it right side out. After use, rinse it and hang it by its loop to dry.
