1. 1ToeWork in a spiral; mark the first stitch of each round. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6). Round 2: inc in each st (12). Round 3: *sc 1, inc* x6 (18). Round 4: *sc 2, inc* x6 (24). Medium size, round 5: *sc 7, inc* x3 (27). Large size, round 5: *sc 3, inc* x6 (30). Result: 24 (27, 30) sts.
2. 2Instep tubeContinue with 1 sc in each stitch without increasing until the piece measures 9 (10, 11) cm from the magic ring. This part wraps the toes and the front of the instep.
3. 3Side and sole rowsNow work back and forth in rows: sc 18 (20, 22), turn; the remaining 6 (7, 8) sts are left unworked and form the front edge of the foot opening. Following rows: ch 1 (does not count), turn, sc 18 (20, 22). Continue until the piece is 1 cm shorter than your foot length, measured from the tip of the toe (about 17 (18, 20) rows).
4. 4Joining the heelFold the last row in half so that 9+9 (10+10, 11+11) sts lie on top of each other. Insert the hook through matching stitches of both layers and join them with sl st. This seam runs vertically at the back of the heel. Cut the yarn and pull the end inside.
5. 5Opening edgeJoin yarn at the heel seam. Work one round around the opening: 1 sc in the end of each row and 1 sc in each of the 6 (7, 8) front stitches, then sl st to the first sc. On the second round work single crochet backwards from left to right (crab stitch) for a twisted, sturdy edge.
6. 6FinishingWeave in the ends through several stitches on the inside. Make the second slipper the same way. For wooden or tiled floors, add small dots of liquid latex to the sole and let them dry overnight.
